Grant Recipients

Since 1971, OCYSF – through the generosity of its Board Members and community donors who attend this banquet – has been passionately dedicated to achieving one purpose: ensuring young student-athletes realize their hopes and dreams.

Girls on the Run

OCYSF sponsors 3rd-8th grade girls in a running & mentoring curriculum emphasizing self-esteem, character, and positive relationships, culminating in a 5k Run in Costa Mesa.

Kevin Armstrong MD Memorial Sports Foundation (RunStrong Program)

OCYSF purchases 200 pairs of running shoes for intermediate students to participate in a program that incorporates a daily running regimen and culminates with a healthy competition among students from Santa Ana schools.

Higher Ground

Higher Ground services support and uplift families as they open up purpose and possibilities for underserved communities to grow and thrive.

Surf & Turf Therapy

Located in San Juan Capistrano, Surf & Turf Therapy provides therapy services targeting traditional, functional goals using non-traditional approaches, including surfing, horseback riding and community-based activities.

BOSS™ Programs

Each year, OCYSF sponsors economically disadvantaged, and typically black, young men from Orange County in the BOSS™ (Business Of Student Success) program. The BOSS™ program leverages the power of sports to focus on the skills necessary to achieve success in college and beyond with an emphasis on critical thinking & writing.

OCSC Community Foundation: Santa Ana Unified Soccer League

The OCSC Community Foundation is the charitable arm of the professional soccer team Orange County Soccer Club that plays home games at Great Park in Irvine.

Mauli Ola Foundation

Mauli Ola (meaning “Breath of Life”) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing hope and confidence to individuals living with genetic diseases. Harnessing the healing powers of the ocean, they introduce surfing and ocean-based activities as natural therapies.

Angels Baseball Foundation

Each year we partner with the Angels Baseball Foundation to distribute 1,000 tickets/season, along with a $10 gift voucher, to our charity partners in Orange County so they can take their at-risk kids to an Angels game.
