R. Michael Perisi is the President and Partner at Mariners Escrow Corporation, the number one independent escrow company in Newport Beach. With a tenure at Mariners Escrow since 1993, Michael oversees the daily operations, employees, and sales personnel, ensuring the company’s continued success and reputation in the real estate industry.

Michael was born and raised in Newport Beach, California, attending Lincoln Junior High and Corona Del Mar High School (CDM). His passion for sports began early in his life, participating in both baseball and soccer. Sports played a significant role in shaping his character, teaching him the importance of focus, discipline, and perseverance. His high school soccer coach, a great mentor, helped toughen him up for college soccer and life, instilling in him values that he carries to this day.

After high school, Michael attended the University of California, Irvine (UCI), where he graduated in 1990 with a degree in Criminal Law and a minor in Psychology. During his time at UCI, he played Division I soccer for all four years, showcasing his dedication and athletic prowess. Beyond soccer, his interests extend to softball and golf, sports that he continues to enjoy.

Michael’s career in real estate began in 1991 when he worked as a real estate agent for a local company. In August 1993, he joined Dana McNeill Weiner to help manage Mariners Escrow, transitioning smoothly into the escrow industry. Initially focused on sales, Michael handled all current accounts and developed new ones, contributing significantly to the company’s growth. Now, as President, he is responsible for both sales and the daily operations of Mariners Escrow.

In addition to his role at Mariners Escrow, Michael is the President and owner of West Coast Accommodator, Inc., a 1031 Exchange company located within Mariners Escrow. His expertise in real estate and escrow services has established him as a prominent figure in the industry.

Michael’s commitment to community service is evident in his involvement with the Orange County Youth Sports Foundation (OCYSF). He joined the OCYSF Board in 2013 with the desire to help underprivileged kids in Orange County have the same opportunities he had growing up. He believes that sports and mentorship are crucial for helping kids succeed in life. Over the years, he has held several positions on the board, including President, Vice President, Social Chair, and New Member Chair.

Michael’s dedication to helping underprivileged youth is reflected in his interpretation of the OCYSF’s mission: “To provide much-needed financial assistance to underprivileged youth groups/programs in Orange County and to also give scholarships to amazing scholar-athletes to help get their college careers started.” His passion for giving back to the community is a testament to his character and values.

On a personal note, Michael is a proud father of two children. His daughter, Miley, is 16 years old, attends CDM High School, and plays both soccer and lacrosse. His son, Holden, is 14 years old, also attends CDM High School, and is involved in soccer, golf, and football. Michael’s dedication to his family is paramount, and he enjoys spending time supporting his children’s activities and sports endeavors.

Michael’s personal philosophy is grounded in being present and focusing on what can be controlled. His advice to his 10-year-old self reflects this mindset: “Be present and in the moment. Work hard and focus on what you can control. When you focus on things out of your control you tend to end up frustrated. Treat everyone with respect and kindness.”
