Craig Gibson is a Vice President and Partner at Orion Risk Management, where he works with clients to secure insurance products that protect their personal assets and manage business risks. With 16 years of experience in the insurance industry, Craig has focused on commercial property and casualty lines for the past nine years at Orion, handling alternative risk placements and captive solutions for larger companies. Craig’s extensive sales experience, spanning over 20 years, has always been driven by a focus on customer service and delivering value-added solutions.

A former football player and coach, Craig played four years at the University of Southern California (USC), starting 48 consecutive games and serving as one of three Team Captains in 1993. After college, Craig pursued a professional football career in the Canadian Football League (CFL), where he played for three and a half years before retiring due to injury. Following his playing career, Craig joined Coach John Robinson’s staff at USC in 1998, staying on for one more year under Coach Paul Hackett before transitioning out of coaching.

Craig remains actively involved with USC, serving as a mentor in the football program and sitting on the board for the Orange County Marshall School of Business. He is also a founding board member of the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation and helped establish The Lott IMPACT Trophy, which honors college football’s best defensive player for both character and performance.

Craig has been a board member of the Orange County Youth Sports Foundation (OCYSF) since 2021. He is committed to encouraging youth participation in sports and uses his athletic experience to impact young athletes in the community positively.

Craig lives in Newport Coast with his wife Ellen, whom he has been married to for 24 years. They have two children, Anne (22) and Tommy (20). In his free time, Craig enjoys golf, hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his family.
