“I worked for the Los Angeles Lakers for 38 seasons. I have always been passionate about sports for as long as I can remember. I have learned many life lessons (teamwork, leadership, sacrifice, etc.) via my involvement in sports.”

Blain Skinner is the Principal of Blain Skinner Consulting, a firm that leverages his extensive network and over 40 years of experience to position companies in the sports and entertainment industry. His consulting services focus on developing, activating, and managing partnerships that generate revenue while enhancing the fan experience. Blain’s clients have included high-profile organizations such as Mobilitie/Boldyn, Pivot Agency, CounterTEN, RestorAir, and Legends of Sport.

Blain brings a wealth of experience to his consulting work, having spent 38 seasons as an executive with the Los Angeles Lakers. He retired in 2019 as the Executive Director of Corporate Partnerships & Client Management. His career began with California Sports, Inc., the parent company of The Forum, and several sports teams, including the Lakers and the Kings. During his time with the organization, Blain was responsible for sponsorship and partnership sales, helping to build long-lasting corporate relationships.

Beyond his professional work, Blain is passionate about giving back to the community. He serves on Westcoast Sports Associates (WSA) and the Orange County Youth Sports Foundation (OCYSF) boards. He is also an Advisory Board Member for Dunk MS, a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and supporting those affected by the disease.

Blain earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California in 1982. He joined the OCYSF Board in 2022 with a desire to make a positive impact on underserved children in the community. Blain currently serves as the Banquet Chairman for OCYSF.

Blain resides in Newport Beach, California, and continues to be actively involved in the sports and entertainment industry. In his free time, he enjoys soccer and golf, two sports that have taught him invaluable life lessons in teamwork, leadership, and sacrifice.
