Advice to young athletes:
“Stay consistent and trust the process. The results don’t come overnight, but the habits you build every day will shape who you become. Learn to embrace challenges, because that’s where the real growth happens.”
How have sports impacted your life?:
“Sports have played a major role in shaping who I am today. They’ve taught me discipline, accountability, teamwork, and how to push through adversity. Whether it’s competing in hockey or staying committed to endurance training, sports have instilled a mindset of consistency and resilience that carries over into both my personal life and professional career. Just as importantly, they’ve given me lifelong friendships and relationships that I truly value, connections built through shared experiences, competition, and mutual respect.”
What year and why did you join the OCYSF Board?
“I joined the OCYSF Board in 2026. I was drawn to the foundation’s mission of providing opportunities for youth to participate in sports, as I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact athletics can have on confidence, development, and life direction. Being able to give back and help create those same opportunities for others was something I felt strongly aligned with.”
In your own words, what does the OCYSF Mission Statement mean?
“To me, the OCYSF mission is about more than just sports, it’s about creating access, building confidence, and shaping future leaders. It represents giving every child the opportunity to experience the life lessons that come from athletics, regardless of their background, and using sports as a vehicle to positively impact their future.”
