Justin Owens is a Litigation Partner at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, where he focuses on complex commercial litigation, primarily representing clients on the defense side. With a B.A. from UCLA and a J.D. from Berkeley Law, Justin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his practice in Orange County.

Growing up in California’s Central Valley, sports played a pivotal role in Justin’s development. In high school, he participated in football, basketball, and baseball and was later recruited to join the UCLA Men’s Rowing Team as a freshman. Through sports, Justin learned the value of hard work, goal setting, and teamwork—qualities that have continued to shape his personal and professional life. He enjoys pushing himself to overcome challenges, whether two-a-day football practices in 105-degree heat or waking up for early-morning rowing practices.

Justin joined the Orange County Youth Sports Foundation (OCYSF) Board in 2022, motivated by a desire to allow all young people in Orange County to better themselves through athletics. He currently serves on the Scholarship Committee, where he helps to support the next generation of student-athletes. Justin believes that improving Orange County’s future starts with providing athletic opportunities for youth today.

A resident of Rancho Mission Viejo, Justin has coached 13 seasons of NJB girl’s basketball for his three daughters, continuing to share his love of sports with the next generation. In his free time, he remains passionate about sports and community service.
