Tony Ellis is a retired professional with a prosperous 52-year career in the banking industry, where he dedicated himself to assisting family-owned businesses in achieving their goals. He spent much of his professional life at Citizens Business Bank, building a legacy of support and guidance for local enterprises. Tony’s commitment to community and personal growth extends beyond his professional achievements; he has been actively involved in various projects for the University of Southern California and has mentored youth through church and high school programs.
Born and raised in Fullerton, California, Tony attended Lowell High School before pursuing higher education at the University of Southern California. His passion for sports has been a lifelong journey, and he participates in football, basketball, and baseball, which he believes teach more about life than any textbook. Reflecting on his experiences, Tony offers simple but profound advice to his 10-year-old self: “Listen.”
Tony joined the Orange County Youth Sports Foundation (OCYSF) Board in 2000 with the desire to provide disadvantaged youth with the same opportunities he had experienced. He views OCYSF’s mission as providing positive growth opportunities for youth, enabling them to succeed in life, and helping others do the same. Over the years, Tony has held various positions on the OCYSF Board, including roles in Scholarship, Banquet, Veterans, and serving as President.
Tony resides in Fullerton, California, with his family, including his two sons, five grandchildren, and one great-grandson. He and his wife have built a life centered around family, faith, and community service. Tony expresses gratitude for the gifts in his life, thanking God daily for the blessings bestowed upon him.
