Advice to young athletes:
“No matter what you do in life, do it to the fullest! When you chose to do something, to get involved in something, give it your all. You will achieve more, learn more and be better prepared when you move on to the next something you undertake. If you have given your all, you won’t have regrets. At the same time, the most important thing you can have in life is balance. Set you priorities”
How have sports impacted your life?:
“The impact is immeasurable! I have done well in my life which I owe in large part to what I learned through participating in sports. By learning how to handle and learn from the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. Learning how to be a part of a team, to play your role to the best of your ability whether you get the glory or recognition or not. In track you learn that your success is directly a function of the time and effort you put into training and preparation, as it is with all aspects of life”
What year and why did you join the OCYSF Board?
“2024”
In your own words, what does the OCYSF Mission Statement mean?
“To support organizations and programs that remove the barriers that prevent any children in Orange County from participating in organized sports. And to support organizations that utlize sports to help children deal with physically and emotionally challenges, to help build confidence as a thereputic tool”
