Nathanael Singer, currently serving as the Sr. National Sales Director at Solventum, a 3M medical device spin-off, has made significant contributions both professionally and within his community. Raised in La Jolla, California, Nathanael’s educational journey led him to the University of Southern California (USC) for his undergraduate studies, followed by an MBA from the University of San Diego (USD).
In his role at Solventum, Nathanael leads a team dedicated to driving access to medical devices and digital remote therapy monitoring across health plans and insurance companies. His professional experience includes a notable 23-year tenure at Johnson & Johnson, where he excelled in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors by leading sales teams to secure product contracts with payors.
Nathanael’s passion for sports is evident in his personal and athletic pursuits. An avid surfer and former triathlete, he has won the Age Group National Championship and placed fourth at the World Championships in Australia. He has also completed three Ironman Triathlons. Reflecting on his sports experiences, Nathanael says, “Sports taught me how to be competitive and creative. They expanded my social network and love of camaraderie. As my wife says, a workout is my gin & tonic.”
Nathanael joined the Orange County Youth Sports Foundation (OCYSF) Board in 2018, driven by a desire to give back to the local community. He currently holds the positions of Secretary and Auction Chairperson. “I wanted to give back to the local community in a way that meant something, so supporting youth athletics was a great fit,” he explains. He articulates OCYSF’s mission as “enabling Orange County young athletes to participate in sports and learn how sports can be a vehicle to accelerate their life’s dreams.”
On the family front, Nathanael and his wife Stacy have been married for 23 years. They have a daughter in college in Virginia and a son who is a senior at Corona Del Mar High School. Their daughter played soccer during her high school years, while their son is active in football and volleyball. Stacy, a former practicing lawyer, now focuses on volunteering at Surf & Turf Therapy and enjoys playing beach volleyball.
Nathanael’s adventurous spirit extends beyond his professional and family life. He has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, raced mountain bikes across Chile, and surfed in Fiji and Sumatra. He continues to participate in events like the Dipsea trail race in Mill Valley and motivates his children to embrace adventure through annual ski trips and other activities.
