“Sports has influenced my life. From a young boy of 9 years old joining little league baseball to the present, coaching high school basketball. Sports has taught team-work, respect of others, respect for the rules and sportsmanship. Sports has and continues to be a life-long journey.”

“2002 – A OCYSF board member asked me to join.”

“To support youth sports and acknowledge excellence in sports, academics and community service in Orange County.”

Ed Halverson, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) based in Tustin, California, has been a dedicated member of the Orange County Youth Sports Foundation (OCYSF) since 2002. Ed’s professional and community involvement highlights his commitment to fostering youth development and supporting his local community.

Ed attended University High School in Los Angeles, California, and later graduated from California State University, Long Beach. His career as a CPA at Halverson AC CPAs has been marked by his expertise and dedication to providing top-notch accounting services. As a professional, Ed has built a reputation for his integrity, precision, and commitment to his clients.

Sports have played a significant role in Ed’s life, starting from his participation in little league baseball at the age of nine to coaching high school basketball. Reflecting on the impact of sports, Ed notes, “Sports has influenced my life. From a young boy of 9 years old joining little league baseball to the present, coaching high school basketball. Sports has taught team-work, respect of others, respect for the rules, and sportsmanship. Sports has and continues to be a life-long journey.”

Ed joined the OCYSF Board at the invitation of a current board member and has since held several key positions, including President, Treasurer, and member of the Veterans Committee. His motivation for joining OCYSF is rooted in a desire to support youth sports and acknowledge excellence in sports, academics, and community service within Orange County.

Ed is married to Lucy Halverson, and they reside in Tustin, California. His personal and professional life reflects a strong commitment to his values and to making a positive impact in his community.
